Overview

The Project Manager will interact directly with the installation manager, client, client representatives, third party vendors, and our Program management team throughout the installation process. Responsibilities include ensuring projects are completed successfully, on schedule, and the work performed meets or exceeds client expectations.

  • Location:  various in Virginia
  • Travel:  Yes (25%)
  • Pay Range:  $30-35.00/hour

Responsibilities

  • Pre-installation job site visits with sales team to assist with generating proper scope of work.
  • Communicate with the installation manager, customer service, and permitting team, and client on project timeline and milestones.
  • Supervise and assist installation on pulling cable, rough in, installing conduit, terminate cables at device and headend. 
  • Provide updated project manager reports weekly.
  • Stays up to date and knowledgeable on new services, technology, and internal processes/procedures.

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years’ experience installing commercial access control, video systems, low voltage, and commercial wiring/cabling OR knowledge of building, fire, and life safety codes pertaining to construction and electrical systems.
  • High School diploma/GED preferred.
  • Technical/Trade/Vocational school certificate in electronics/electrical is desirable.
  • Strong electronics knowledge/background (AC/DC theory, series and parallel circuits, open/close loops) and ability and knowledge to use digital volt meters.
  • Knowledge of IP, Ethernet, and networking protocol and CAT5 technologies preferred.

Other Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be able to meet and maintain various certifications, licenses, and/or registrations, in accordance with applicable state laws and as required by the electronic security regulations in the state (s) worked.
  • Must be willing to participate in and pass the company’s pre-employment screening process including a background investigation and drug screening.
  • Must continue to maintain a safe driving record and valid driver’s license to fulfill the travel requirements of this position.
